Roxanne and Hot Cargo
• Biography

Roxanne and Hot Cargo represent something not found often in the music business, a truly rocking family group. Including a couple of long stints with (as) part of Stetzen, the band has been entertaining devoted fans in and around Las Vegas since 1984. This group is primarily a country rock dance group, but many fans find they just enjoy watching and listening.

The basic engine behind the Hot Cargo phenomenon is the amazing and dynamic Roxanne, and her multi-talented husband and leader Danny Sanderson. Also, Dan seconds as a string phenom, playing a more than competent banjo, mandelin, and ukelele as well as playing a mean blues harp. Roxanne's father, veteran bassist TommyLee of the 60s group the Green Men, has put in many years maintaining a hard grooving bottom end and sings an imprerssive list of older dance favorites, too.

Originally from Georgia, the commanding and captivating Joel Ferguson, has been the resident steel player with the group for many years, and has scared more steel players than we care to mention!

The world-class, slammin’ drummer Vic Jones, also transplanted from Georgia via Pensacola, was roped in for the Pahrump Harvest fest in 1994 and happily remains for the drum chair. His wife, Florida native, pro torch singer and former DJ - MauraLynn, recently brought her keyboard and considerable vocal talents to the band.
